Device Manager - Gateway - "Online Duration" Value (how is this determined)

Device Manager - Gateway - "Online Duration" Value (how is this determined)

Within the Device Manager cloud platform, when I go to Gateways and select one of my IR302's, under the summary at the top of the page, it shows "Online Duration". How is this "Online Duration" value calculated?

I ask because this could refer to the device's actual uptime - but it doesn't match the device's uptime (uptime > Online Duration). Or is it how long the device has had consistent internet access? Or is it how long the device has consistently reported in to the Device Manager platform (and no - these two last ones are not the same as there could be an outage with the Device Manager application but the cell modem still has internet access)...

It would be very nice to know the factors and calculations used to determine the "Online Duration" value. Assuming that this value isn't just how long the device has been powered up (as if that's the case then it's broken as it doesn't match the uptime reported in the modem's web management portal), it would be nice if the Device Manager portal could pull and display the device's uptime value (not have to connect to and sign-in to the device's web management portal to get this value).
