EAP600_Wireless Mesh setup

EAP600 AP starts the support of Wireless Mesh with FW V2.0.11.

The latest FW image file can be found from InHand website:

Here is the topology of EAP600 Wireless Mesh network. The main EAP600 still needs to be connected to the main router by Ethernet cable. The subsequent EAP600 is able to establish mesh connection to the main EAP600 wirelessly.

To set up the wireless mesh:

  1. At Main AP, go to Wi-Fi=>Mesh. Toggle on Mesh,  select Main AP, set up SSID and Password, click on Save.
  1. After it's saved, there will be a new icon, One-Click Mesh, on the page. We'll need to click on One-Click Mesh when the SubAP connects to the MainAP at the first time. When the first Sub AP connects successfully, the Main AP will continue broadcasting for 10 minutes. During this period, adding the subsequent APs does not require clicking One-Click again. If the interval exceeds 10 minutes, you will need to click the Main AP’s One-Click Mesh button once more.

  1. Now we can set up the SubAP.  Please go to WiFi-Mesh, toggle on Mesh, select Sub AP and set Wireless for Network Mode. Save.

  1. Now the Sub AP starts searching for the Main AP.
  2. On the Main AP, we can go to Status=>Mesh to monitor the connection status:

6. If they don't connect after a while, please click One-Click Mesh on the Main AP again.
