The VT310 uses a state machine with three modes: Run, Temp Run, and Sleep.

• It enters Sleep mode when the vehicle ignition (IGT) is OFF or external power is removed (voltage drops below sleep threshold).

• It can be configured to wake up periodically using the Wakeup Interval (default 120 min) or remain active for a set Wakeup Runtime (default 5 min) before sleeping again.
