How to configure Verizon Static IP APN

A Verizon Static IP plan is a cellular data service where the SIM is assigned a static and public IP address which can be accessed from the public network and doesn't  change when the device reconnects.

The Static IP plan is often used in cases that need remote access, such as PLC/HMI monitoring.

The below are the common APNs. Please confirm with Verizon about which APN should be used for the SIM.
      we01.vzwstatic
      ne01.vzwstatic
      nw01.vzwstatic
      so01.vzwstatic
      mw01.vzwstatic

To manually configure the proper APN for a Static IP SIM:
  • At Network=>Cellular page, input the correct static APN at Profiles session.

  • Select the profile accordingly at SIM1 Network Provider. For example, Index 1 is Profile 1, Index 2 is Profile 2, etc.
  • Click Apply at the bottom of the page. The router will have a fresh registration to the cellular network after this.

To confirm the IP assigned by the cellular network, go to Status=Network Connections. At the Cellular session, IP Address is the IP assigned by the network.
