I seem to have a problem with one of our modems, the modem was previously used by a colleague who set a different modem login password, but forget this. Because I want to change the IP range in need to do a hard reset. The modem works fine, I have internet and I can reach the login page albeit not via the standard IP, the only thing that does not seem to work is the reset button.
to reset to factory default settings using the Reset button:
Step 1: Power on the device. Press and hold the Reset button for 5 to 10 seconds at the moment when the SYS indicator goes out.
Step 2: Release the button, the SYS indicator flashes.
Step 3: Press and hold the reset button again, release it after the SYS indicator is solid and enter the system boot stage.
When I try to do this the sys indicator goes out very shortly about 15 seconds after start up. When pressing the reset button at this moment the sys indicator never flashes and just does it's normal start up routine
I tried several other ways: pressing the reset button immediately after start up, holding it for at least a minute, holding it after startup. powering the modem on and off multiple times, cutting the power for several hours and trying, removing sim and lan connections and trying again etc. etc. none of this seems to work, any suggestions?
