Link Backup ensures continuous communication by switching to a backup link if the main link fails.

• Main Link: Can be set to WAN port or Dial-up interface.

• Backup Modes:

  • Hot Backup: Both links are online; switches immediately if the current one disconnects.

  • Cold Backup: The backup link only comes online when the main link disconnects.

  • Load Balancing: Data is propagated through corresponding links after successful ICMP detection.
