Transfer of devices or licenses to other company
When you need to transfer devices or licenses under your own company to another company, you can invite this company to be your customer in the InHand Cloud Service, and then you can transfer resources for this company. Please refer to this document for detailed steps.
This document is also applicable to the scenarios of unifying the devices under multiple companies into one company for management, or reclaiming the devices of one company.
The following is an example of transferring devices and licenses from Company A to Company B.
Pre-requisites
● Company A's operational user role is System Administrator.
Step 1: Invite Customers
1. The system administrator of Company A logs in to the InHand Cloud Service.
2. Select Customers in the menu bar.
3. Click Invite Customer and fill in the following information:
a. Customized customer name.
b. Fill in the email account of the system administrator of the customer Company B in InHand Cloud Service.
4. Click Invite Customer.
Step 2: The customer agrees to the invitation
1. The system administrator of Company B receives the invitation notification email.
2. Click Accept Invitation.
Step 3: Transferring devices or licenses
1.Transfer devices
1. The system administrator of Company A logs in to the InHand Cloud Service.
2. Select Subscriptions in the menu bar;
3. Enter the Devices menu.
4. Select devices you want to transfer to Company B and click Transfer.
5. In the Transfer Device pop-up window, select customer: Organization B.
6. Click Transfer.
Note: If the device has a license, the license will be transferred to the customer along with the device. If you do not need to transfer the license, you can first perform a bulk Remove License operation on the device.
2.Transfer licenses
1. the system administrator of Company A logs in to the InHand Cloud Service.
2. Select Subscriptions in the menu bar.
3. Enter the Licenses menu.
4. Select licenses that needs to be transferred to Company B and click Transfer.
5. In the Transfer Device pop-up window, select Customer: Organization B.
6. Click Transfer.
Verification Result
After Company A transfers devices or licenses, Company B users can log in to the InHand Cloud Service and see those devices or licenses.
